CHILDBIRTH STAGES

First period of the childbirth process is the longest. It’s the stage we refer to as labor. Usually, we rupture along labor into three phases. The early-labor phases begin with labor’s onset and go until the cervix has dilated to about 3 cm. After that is the active-labor phase, which goes from the ending of early labor awaiting the cervix has dilated to about 7 cm. And final we head into the transition phase. Notify your support person you'll be relying seriously on him / her through this time. Generally this is the direct phase, but also the hardest.
It's an intricate time . . . but better times, and a fine-looking baby is coming.

CHILDBIRTH

In this blog, we will see what a marvelously, happy experience childbirth is. Yet the pregnancy, most women get enjoyable--not physically, but sensitively, as they tie to the child. And as all childbirths are dissimilar, there are three basic stages that women will exceed through at some stage in the childbirth. In this blog, in days to come we will discuss that details about the childbirth stages.

Motherhood

Motherhood is the only act that manifests in human form the extraterrestrial wonder of creation. Imagine a life growing within you, nurtured with your living. And then the wonder of all, this indistinguishable motion within your womb turns into two tiny hands, reaching out for you. It's like a moment of epiphany—a consecrated communion when you look within and realize the Godlike power of creation. The tale begins with a birth. And, like all beginnings, a positive childbirth is not only piously more fulfilling, but can also strengthen the mother-child bond.

Almighty’s Judgment

A baby is God's judgment that the world should go on. And the birth pangs are just that-old order giving way to the novel. This is how natural world creates a fresh mother. Motherhood brings an inner responsiveness. But it also comes with its own allocation of responsibilities and worries. From the moment of formation, your neatly patterned world teeters on the brink of chaos. Priorities vary, you are forced to look at life from a different perspective and all that you had taken for granted seems like a thing of the past.

Protein Deficiency and Remedies

Whenever the child is found to undergo deficiency of proteins, it is obligatory to give an egg everyday to the child. The egg has to be mixed methodically with milk or can also be boiled to a little extent, until it becomes medium hard. Thick cereals and pulse soups also does an enhanced job in overcoming protein deficiency in children. There is never damage in giving curd to the child unless and until it is too sour to consume. Curd can be given to the child by all means on recurrent intervals. Whatever it may be, ideal cleanliness must be observed in the issue of milk and food that has to be given to the child.

Prevalence of Jaundice

Nearly forty percent of newly born babies build up jaundice. Grown up people do show a dissimilar pattern of jaundice as compared to that of a new born baby. Both differ in all aspects some of which to comprise are the causes, treatment and consequences. The symptoms of such infantile jaundice commence to manifest themselves some three to seven days from birth. The Red blood corpuscles, also called the RBC of the baby residing in the uterus of the fetus, differ quite from that of the normal RBC. After the birth of the baby, these cells crack and release a yellow pigment. This pigment cannot be removed by the child’s liver, since it has not attained its entire functionality, leading to jaundice.

New Born Spasms

There is nothing to fear if the baby develops spasms or convulsions. But if proper concern is not exerted at the earliest it may lead to deadly consequences. It is never the same case for the babies and elder children when it comes to the subject of spasms. The symptoms of spasms are quite dissimilar in the case of babies. For instance, the eye balls of the baby may turn up and it will begin giving vigorous shakes with its arms and legs. This is particularly because of the asymmetrical tensing of muscles. The reasons for spasms or convulsions in a new born baby can be ascribed to an injury in its head portion during the process of delivery.

Selfless Desire

In both men and women, especially in women, there is a bottomless desire to reproduce their own kind. This is not a creation of communal conditioning. The satisfactions and creative opportunities are well recognized. A woman bears the tenderness caused by the pains of labor, but she forgets them in the joy of construction. She is fundamentally not the object of man’s desire, but is the mother, the creator, the leader. It is the benefit of a mother to bring up her children, to help them to build up their distinctive gifts, physical and mental, ethical and spiritual. Treat your mother as a goddess and this is the order of the scriptures. Marriage without motherhood is deficient.

Ethnic Conservators

Women are the great conservators of our ethnicity. They stick to the household ritual, cradle song and accepted poetry. A definite attitude of life is bound up with these. By the very excellence of their being, women are the missionaries of civilization. With their huge capacity for self-sacrifice they are the unquestioned leaders in life. A married life, where the wife enjoys the admiration of her husband and influence over her household, holds as much pride as the most esteemed of careers, because it gives her the chance to create, conserve and protect the most precious possessions of her motherland, namely, the children of the nation.

Addressing a Woman

In the entire world, the servitors of a family address the mistress of the house as mother. The total unfamiliar person addresses every female as mother. The deities of knowledge and wealth are represented in the images of beautiful women, as maternity incarnate. Before going on a voyage and on returning, most people touch the feet of their mothers. This apotheosis of motherhood is not the offbeat of a physical fact, but the glorification of the most sublime qualities of motherhood, of self-less loyalty, unquestioning love and complete self-abnegation. From a woman commendable of being called mother, the tradition expects perfect purity, faithfulness and unselfishness. These qualities have a beauty of their own, and the mother very often cares for no other aid to loveliness.

Religious Practices

In the obliteration of a family, the immemorial spiritual
rites of that family expire. On the destruction of theology, sinfulness overcomes the whole family. By the occurrence of impiety, the women of the family become dishonest; and women being tainted, there arises intermingling of castes. Confusion of castes leads to torture the slayers of the family, for their forefathers fall, dispossessed of the offerings of rice-ball and water. By these evil deeds of the destroyers of the family, which cause bewilderment of castes, the eternal religious rites of the caste and the family are destroyed. We have heard that inevitable is the house for an unknown period in hell for those men in whose families the religious practices has been destroyed.

Language Development

Any period in the child’s living between its birth and to around six years of its growth can be marked as the period of key language learning. It is obligatory that a child starts to learn the language either through speaking or by listening. Also, it is a well known truth that the child does not need to be thought to speak. It is more than sufficient that the child listens to the conversation between the parents and others so that it learns to speak. It is enough for developing its individual language skills. There are definite guidelines to learn a language even though the children adapt different skills, learning at diverse paces.

Baby’s nourishment and breast-feeding

Since others in the family and may be a warden will be involved with your baby’s feeds, and nutrition supplement, you need to make sure that your baby gets consistent, good nutrition every day. During the first year, chiefly during the first six months, breast milk or infant formula or cow’s milk is your baby’s main food. Breast milk is the preferred feed for a baby and should be continued for as long as achievable during the first year.
If your baby is on the bottle, teach the caretaker how to disinfect all equipment and prepare the baby’s feed. Highlight hygiene and spend time training and supervising the caretaker.
Many women productively combine breast feeding and working. You can breast-feed your baby before going to job, after coming back and at night. Some mothers can organize to breast-feed during breaks at work. If you cannot, you have to allow time for your baby to learn to take a supplemental nourish from a bottle. Waiting until you and your baby have had 3 or 4 weeks of successful nursing before introducing the supplemental feed helps you keep your breast-milk supply jam-packed. If you need to supplement before this, confer with your doctor for instruction.
By nursing regularly when you are at home, and expressing your milk at least once every 4 to 6 hours while you and your baby are apart, you can assist keep your full milk supply and free from symptom of alery and infection.

Check-list for hearing impairment

There is always difficulty in the late identification of the symptom of hearing impairment in children. This could radically affect the progress of language, and communication. Whenever there is a delay in the recognition it could result in delay in valuable contact with the child. There will also be a considerable side effect or impact in the family.
Much in the same way as we access the visual disability, we can also access the hearing impairment with the subsequent symptoms: Around three months from the time of birth, the baby is not worried into responding to a loud sound or a clap within 3 feet distance. He will also be very calm and cries only faintly. By the end of the sixth month, you could get no reply to cooing and babbling symptom and he will never search for source of sounds. By the end of the tenth month, he will not act in response to noise, bell or name being called. There won’t be any motion response to verbal phrases like ‘bye-bye’ and ‘no-no’. He will never give you an idea about any action to familiar songs or rhymes. By the end of the first year, you could spot out that the child does not reproduce simple little sounds or such words as ‘daddy’ and ‘mummy’. He will also not point to recognizable objects or persons on request.

Check-list for visual impairment

You can go after a check-list to assess the visual disability of your child. You could become aware of the symptom that up to 3 months from the time of birth the infant does not pay attention to visual stimulus. Also, the baby does not spotlight or follow bright objects in the visual field. Around six months, the baby does not arrive at out for a toy in the visual field. Also he does not create eye contact while being fed or cuddled. When an object has been given, the baby does not examine it.
From 6 to 9 months, the baby does not distinguish between people he is familiar with and strangers. It will then be tough for the baby to pick up puny objects. By the end of the first year, you could become aware of the baby shuts or covers one eye while focusing. He holds plaything close to his eyes and bumps into large objects while swarming. The baby does not hold a cup or spoon while being fed and looks with a slanted head. When it comes to imitating the actions the baby will not be able to go behind it. All these symptoms or medical condition will project the visual disability of the baby and instantaneous treatment has to be done.

Cow’s milk and solid foods

Breast milk is the most excellent nutrition supplement to feed on for the baby than anything else. It is highly suggested to feed the baby with breast milk to begin with and continue for few months. When the baby is nearing the conclusion of a year, it will be better to start with fat rich cow’s milk. One can give food to the same with a lidded beaker.
Although cow’s milk, the nutrition supplement is not the usual food for your baby, it can be given. Cow’s milk is so composed that it contains a very negligible quantity of iron and sugar. Also, the proteins make hard to digest solid curds in the baby’s stomach causing digestion to be a little difficult. It also contains too much of a number of minerals, such as salt and sodium; these can reason constipation, hence give a lot of water to the baby fed with cow’s milk.
The perfect time to start the baby on solid foods is when he is between four and six months old. In actual practice, your baby’s weight, hunger and feeding pattern are the general indicators on when to begin with the baby on solid foods. Solids may source colic, food allergies, eczema and early preferences for salty or sweet foods. Solid foods give calories but overload calories may cause undesirable weight gain. In any case, it is only the nutrition supplement but not the solid foods that assist baby to sleep through the night.

Incredible Infancy

For the newborn, the finest toy is you-his mother. He enjoys being cuddled and likes looking at you and loves to pay attention to your voice. It is through you that he learns about the humankind around him.
Nevertheless, a baby needs other enthusiasm. Toys are the most excellent way of giving the much needed excitement to the babies. The best toys for a baby in his first six months are those designed to wake up and, then, sharpen his sense of sight, sound and touch. He will be attached to bright rattles, colored discs and mobiles. It is not that rough to make your own mobiles and give it to the baby to have fun. Dangle no matter which that’s vivid, shiny and amusing on ribbons or nylon threads, and ties them to clothes hangers, embroidery hoops or plain sticks.
The skill level of the baby can be well developed by giving him the wanted toys. Also give him objects of diverse textures to handle, such as a small ball, a rattle, a piece of sponge, soft toys stuffed with cotton etc. Use objects which can be washed and which are out of harm's way.
When the baby is six months old, he will show symptoms and be able to be pleased about books with pictures of familiar objects in them. He will get pleasure from your turning the pages for him. Children at this age like being spoken to, will try to vigorously communicate with you and will try to imitate your movements. He likes to sway or clap to recognizable songs and rhymes. He likes to be delighted, and enjoys playing hide and seek.

Helping a baby feed by his own self

Babies always make a lot of problem while on a feed. It is indeed tremendously tough to manage the baby while feeding. Parents and caretakers need to be enormously patient and careful while feeding the baby. By about seven months your baby will be making a strong-minded effort to feed himself. Spoon-feed him first, keeping the bowl out of contact. Then let him play with the residual food while still feeding him. Let him dip his fingers in the bowl and thrust food in to his mouth. Finger foods are less messed up at this stage. Hold a sipping cup for him, but fill up a spoon that he can pick up and hold himself, The spoon need to be disinfected and must be ready to bring into play.
Assist him by enduring to feed him yourself, but let him play with his food. Have a warm washcloth useful, and face the fact that most mealtimes engage a great deal of mess. Then you can show your baby how to grip a spoon and get food in his mouth rather than smear it all over his face. Be uncomplaining with him for the symptom, and allow yourself the time to make this a fun as well as a learning experience. One can with no trouble spot out that there will be a steady development of coordination in this regard.

Baby car seat and High chair

You will almost certainly need two different types of car seat in your baby’s first two years, depending on his height and size. Rearward facing seats in the front or rear of your car are for infants up to 20lb and that is equivalent to 9kg. They have an incorporated harness with crotch strap for protection. Forward facing seats with a five-point harness are suitable for infants from 20-40lb and that is from 9-18 kg. Combined types are also quite reasonably priced to purchase. You can also pay money for combined types. Rear-facing seats can be protected with an approved lap and shoulder seat belt in a back seat. Many come with a built-in handle for trouble-free lifting. When baby is slumbering, do not use these seats in passenger seats with air bags. There are toddler seats that are weighty chairs to reflect the growing weight and size of your baby. They have built-up side wings for additional protection. Secured fittingly, they can be used in either the front or back seat.
Once the baby is sitting up you will require a highchair. One has to make certain that the high chair is powerful and unproblematic to keep uncontaminated. Natural wood or reinforced plastic are all right. Your choice should have a removable plastic tray that can be opened with one hand. The tray must be big and have a rim. Check for a resolutely attached safety strap with integral crotch strap. Table seats are perfect for traveling and they can be securely attached to a table top. If it is a foldaway model, they can crinkle away compactly and are very useful if space is tight.

Sound steps for a peaceful sleep

Make a difference between how you treat day and nighttime sleep to teach your baby there is a time for play, and a time for sleep. Employ a bassinet or carriage for day time naps. During daytime naps make certain that she is covered but not swaddled or tightly tucked in. Allow her two hours’ nap in the day, and then rouse her. Give her time to regulate to walking before play or food. to avoid side effect. It is good to save the crib for an enhanced sleep during the night. At night swaddle her resolutely and tuck her in. The lighting has to be kept dim as far as achievable. At night, when she shows symptom of waking up, pick her, feed and alter her diaper if needed, making very little fuss.
The most significant thing you can do is to ensure that your baby goes to sleep on her back. Relax your baby with a mild bath and some reading time. Ensure that the room temperature is temperate, about 65 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are a smoker, stay away from it in your baby’s room. Make certain that you put your baby to bed in a clean diaper. Before leaving the room, check that she is breathing on a regular basis. Make sure that the baby monitor is going on before leaving the room.

First foods for 4-9 months old infant

Introduce solids when your baby is not too starving or tired, and you are relaxed. Start with rice cereal mixed with breast milk or formula, a nutritional supplement or cooled boiled water, to formulate it smooth and wet and easy to digest. Sliced and mashed carrot, apple, or potato, moistened with the identical liquids, without any lumps, is ideal at this stage. Peel vegetables and fruit cautiously, and remove all pits. Then vaporize or poach, or grind.
Stick to fresh foods that can be mashed or minced to the quality of smooth cottage cheese. Add liquid or yogurt to help you to attain this texture. Peel fruit or vegetables vigilantly, removing any pits and strings. Trim off fat and skin from fish or meat, and grill or poach, where likely. Remove any bones and shred dexterously. Shapes made from cheese or bananas, and some bread, are idyllic to suck and eat. If in doubt, talk about new foods and problems with your pediatrician. From the 8th month, you can begin chunkier textures, so try chopping food rather than mashing. Cook and set up food as for a younger baby. Take in foods such as toast, homemade lasagna, chopped-up chicken, and soups. It is good to keep giving great quantity of finger foods and nutritional diet.

Day-care centers and Nursery

If you are putting your baby in a crèche or day-care centre, see that it is well-located, spotless and that the lady in charge likes to look after children. It is so fundamental that every parent take sufficient time to choose the right place to leave the baby. Babies are so delicate that they need overall concern and good amenities in the crèches. The crèche must offer interesting and appropriate toys for the children. It should house good air, light and ample space for babies and adults. Staff working with the play school has to make sure that they wash their hands with soap and water after changing nappies and before handling food. The crèche must be a situate of high safety standards, with at least one staff member trained in first aid and supplied with adequate first aid material. The crèche must also hold on to each baby emergency phone numbers and medical information. Remember if your child is energetic and healthy, it is well looked after. If he is bad-tempered and cranky when left as a crèche, it means he has not adjusted to his new environment. Look into the matter and strive and see things from your child’s perspective. Give your child fine care even though it costs a little more. This is better than all the riches you will bestow him later.

The jiffy stage of delivery

The temperament of the contractions of the uterus alters in this stage. The response of the mother to every contraction now is a wish to exert a force pushing the baby back. A woman who is experiencing her primary delivery, and who has absolutely no information about the sequence of events during a delivery, impulsively begins to take deep breaths at the very commencement of this stage, and tends to hold her breath at every contraction. She feels the push for defecate. She continues to support herself to endure the pain with deep breath till the baby emerges completely from the uterus. As the baby slides outward through the vagina, the mother experiences an immediate desire to grasp her own legs. Labor ends with the appearance of the baby from the vagina.
Now the fluids in the baby's mouth, nose and respiratory passages are unsoiled. After making sure that the baby is able to breathe on the whole, it is handed over to the mother. When the baby is thus to end with placed in her arms, the mother finds her heart flooded with a sense of triumph and relief, as she feels that she has gone through a number of trials and tribulations and has at last given birth to a brand new human being, her very own formation.

The Process of Delivery

Every pregnant woman, particularly if it is going to be very first delivery, is anxious that she may not be able to judge the time of the onset of labor correctly, and that the delivery may take place suddenly, in unexpected circumstances. But as a matter of fact, these fears are groundless. The woman becomes conscious of the imminent delivery well in time. Certain signs always bearer of news the coming of the baby. The famous one is the discharge of a blood like fluid from the vagina. This discharge rather starts up abruptly. She can also feel the urination accompanied by soreness in the pelvic region. Sometimes there are blinking spasms of pain in the abdomen, otherwise described as the 'onset of labor'. The pain is owed to contractions of the uterus. Any one or more of the mentioned signs should prepare the mother-to-be to the fact that delivery is now about to happen, and she should hasten to the hospital without delay.
Delivery is a process in which the baby is pushed out of the uterus by contractions and relaxations of particular muscles. The whole period starting from the commencement of labor pains to the time after delivery when the fetus-bearing organs of the mother regain their unique shape and condition can be divided into an assortment of stages.

Confrontation to Viral Infections

It is vital to ascertain the powers of resistance of the mother-to-be to various viruses, so that treatment can be instituted in time if necessary. Failure to do so may prove dangerous for the baby. Infection with the virus of German measles can have a huge adverse effect on the baby. including quick weight loss. If the mother contracts this disease in the first three months of pregnancy, the effects on the baby can be grave enough to make termination of the pregnancy mandatory. It is therefore sensible to make sure before conception whether the woman intending to have a baby has a natural immunity to the disease, or if not, whether she has had the vaccine administered to her. In any case, no woman should reflect conception unless she is either naturally immune, or has been immunized, against this disease. It is a simple matter for a doctor to establish whether she is immune or not by testing her blood. If a woman is not unsurprisingly immune to the virus, all she has to do is to acquire such immunity by taking a vaccine. But she should take care to make sure that she does not conceive for at least three months after she has been immunized.

Reliable Protection

We humans are grateful to the Almighty for granting us the noblest kind of life on earth. At the same time, he has given the cause for worry by making us susceptible to various infection and diseases. To defend ourselves against diseases, he has given us two armaments too. One is cleverness. The other one is a certain capacity of the body to oppose diseases. The capacity may be different from individual to individual, and from time to time. With age the natural power of confrontation to diseases may decrease, or may even be lost. The confrontation is termed 'immunity'. Immunity is a medical condition conferred on the body by the attendance, or formation, of certain substances, called antibodies, which are composed of proteins.
With growth in medical science, it has become possible to create immunity to specific diseases by introducing certain substances, called vaccine, into the body. Vaccines have been developed against a huge number of diseases. With extensive use of vaccines, it has been possible to increase the expectation by a large percentage in all parts of the world. The death rate of infants has been lowered vividly with no side effect. It has been possible to trim down the incidence of many fatal diseases, and at least one disease, small pox, has been eradicated totally from all parts of the world.

Intuition of the parents

Some parents are under the intuition that children show no Symptom of psychological problems. The development of the intelligence and the emotions begins at the early age of three months. If the mother fails to be familiar with the moods and the behavior of the child, and fails to respond properly to them, acting according to her own fixed ideas, oblivious to the child's needs, the child feels a kind of resentment or allergy towards the mother. And this bitterness has the potentiality to grow into a distortion of its personality, a warping of its mind.
This should not be taken to mean that we must pander to every impulse of the child. But it does mean that we should try to appreciate its likes and dislikes, and be ready to guide them into more acceptable patterns. All the innate tendencies of the child should be given scope to develop properly, but it becomes essential to keep a balance, and to be prepared to give new directions to them, and perhaps in picky cases to resist them tactfully. Every child, like every grown-up person, needs definite external restrictions to be exercised over its behavior. If the parents impose too many limitations, the child develops a feeling of frustration and a kind of confidence. But if the parents do not force any restrictions at all, the child may become self-willed and obstinate. Wise parents must consequently exercise great discretion in matters of regulation and regulation of the child's behavior.

Tackling the kid

If the child keeps crying in an obstinate effort to have it own way, it should be brought round by persuasion and coaxing. Nothing can be gained by getting annoyed or losing your temper. Some children are at first cheerful and obedient, but their behavior undergoes a sudden alteration, and they become irritable, quarrelsome and mischievous. An infectious disease or medical condition may just probably lie at the root of such a sudden and drastic change. It would therefore be sensible to check the temperature and general health of the child to make sure that it is not such an infection that is responsible for the change.
Most children tend from a very young age to generate difficulties about food. The problem of likes and dislikes is a grave one. The child should be given various items of foodstuff according to its preferences. Even if it refuses food, it should be induced by loving and tender persuasion to take some food even if the good is taken in small quantities at that time. This will help to shape good feeding habits. Habits, however, are not formed at once. Both patience and love are necessary to accomplish that. Never force a child to eat by intimidating it. Some parents compel their children into drinking milk. This results in the development of a symptom of bigotry in the mind of the child, not only against milk but also against the parents themselves. Its kind mind is affected adversely by threats and coercion. If the child really has an dislike to milk, stop giving it milk for some time. It may happen that the child will one day, of its own agreement, ask for milk.

The emotional problems and environment of the child

It is hard not to be surprised when even mothers with an excellent knowledge of child psychology and the art of bringing up children have occasion to protest about the behavior of their own children. But the fact is that hypothetical knowledge and practical application of that knowledge are entirely different things. Attaining skill in theoretical knowledge and practical application is the need of the hour. In every society and every family, children habitually present problems. If timely care is not exercised in bringing up a child, and an optimistic approach is not adopted, the child can prove a danger or at least a liability for the nation when it grows up.
The milieu of the child in its infancy, the state of its health, and the manner in which it is brought up are those that lie in the root of the problems of children. As children are easily influenced from their very births, the good as well as the bad features of the environment leave lasting impressions on their minds. If a child experiences an expressive trauma side effect at a very young age, and no immediate steps are taken to counter the effects, the child suffers from a kind of shock or infection, which affects its behavior throughout its life. Thus fears, phobias , allergy and other complexes are formed at a very premature stage in the development of the child.
As the body of a child develops, the development of its mind too should keep rate of knots with it. Just as a child has problems regarding its bodily health, it has problems in connection with growth and improvement of its brain and mind too. Making difficulties about eating habits, temper tantrums, bad-tempered demands, crying, biting nails, sucking the thumb, telling lies, day dreaming, bed-wetting, shyness, crying at the sight of strangers, etc., are occurrences of such problems.
